Liepaja University is glad to announce the beginning of the implementation of the project "Development of new media art education in Liepaja". The project is financed by the Europe Economic Area and Norwegian bilateral Financial mechanism. The total budget of the project - 442 428 EUR. Project manager - Atis Eglins-Eglitis.

Within the project various activities will take place from August 2009 until December 2010 in order to expand the new media art education offered in Latvia (particularly - in Liepaja).
The foreseen long term benefits of this project include establishment of the doctoral program in new media art, provision of human resource development and improved teaching and learning process, and purchase of equipment for the study and research environment.

Within the project several research projects in the context of new media art will be started, seminars to strengthen human resource capacity will be held, exchange trips for teaching staff will take place, research conference will take place, strengthening of cooperation network with socio economic stakeholders will be carried out, as well as many other activities to strengthen and develop new media art education in Liepaja University.
